    1. What is NMB Buddha VISA Debit Card?

    NMB Buddha VISA Debit card is a Co-branded debit card which can be used like other regular debit cards for cash withdrawal/POS terminal payment/Ecommerce transaction etc. The card was introduced as a collaboration between NMB Bank Limited and Buddha Air Pvt. Ltd. with innovative features.

    2. What are the benefits provided to NMB Buddha VISA Debit cardholders?

    The cardholders can avail several benefits over other regular passengers which can be summarized as under:

    • Cardholders will be allowed extra baggage of 5 Kilograms over the standard baggage weight limit.
    • Cardholders can avail discount in over more than 50 merchants located across the country which is currently available to Royal Club members only.
    • Additional discount of 10% shall be available to cardholders
    • No withdrawal charge upon cash withdrawal from ATM terminal of any BFIs inside Nepal
    • Full/Partial Refund of ticket amount upon cancellation of air ticket

    3. What are the provisions related to extra baggage facility?

    5 Kilograms extra baggage shall be allowed in aggregate whether the cardholder is traveling single or in group. For example, the cardholder is traveling along with other two family members and the standard weight allowed is 15Kg per person. It means total weight allowed to the whole group is 50 kilograms i.e. ((15*3) +5)

    4. In which stores/outlets can the cardholders avail discount?

    Cardholders can avail the agreed discount in various merchant outlets dispersed in different locations of the country. The outlets list can be seen by following the below mentioned link.

    5. What are the provisions related to additional discount for cardholders?

    Cardholders can get additional discount of 10% on the base fare while purchasing ticket from any Buddha Air counter located in the country. However, online purchased tickets shall not be applicable for the mentioned discount. The customer has to physically visit the Buddha Air counter along with his/her Co-branded debit card to avail the discount.

    6. What are the various provisions related to refund upon cancellation of air ticket?

    Full/partial refund shall be allowed to our cardholder subject to terms and conditions upon cancellation of air ticket. Various provision related to the refund can be mentioned as under.

    • Full refund shall be made if the ticket cancellation request is made before 24 hours or earlier before the departure time. The client shall be refunded the aggregate ticket purchase amount (more than one ticket) if the tickets fall under the same PNR number.
    • 50% of ticket price or NPR 2,000 (In words NPR Two Thousand only) in aggregate refund shall be made if the ticket cancellation request is placed within 24 hours of the departure time.
    • If the cancellation request is not made, it is a no show case and the client shall not be considered for refund.
    • The refund facility can be availed by a cardholder only once in a fiscal year.

    7. What is the procedure to place a ticket cancellation request?

    The cardholder needs to send a ticket cancellation request to the below address with the following details.

    • Email Address- corecard@nmb.com.np or adcsales@nmb.com.np
    • Ticket details like Name of the client, Flight information (flight number, destination, date and time of departure), and account details maintained at NMB Bank along with the image of the purchased ticket must be sent to the above mentioned email address for further process.
    • The customer shall be notified regarding successful cancellation of ticket or reason of decline of request if there is any.

    8. What is the maximum time for refund of the ticket amount?

    The refund shall be credited to the account of the customer within 7 days of the cancellation request if there is no reason found to decline the customer request.

    9. Are there any additional facility to the cardholder besides the above mentioned facility?

    Cardholders can also avail discount of 10% on Buddha Holiday package to popular tourist destinations like Pokhara, Chitwan and Lumbini. However, the customer needs to physically visit corporate office of Buddha Air, Jawalakhel to purchase the Holiday package plan. The cardholder needs to show the co-branded card for identification.
