Things to remember while using NMB Bank VISA Debit Card:

  • Sign on the white panel at the back side of the Debit Card (just under the black stripe), and keep the card with you all the time, or in a safe place.
  • A secret PIN code shall be provided separately in a sealed PIN Mailer for operating your Visa Debit Card. For security purpose, you are advised to memorize your PIN code, and destroy the PIN Mailer.
  • Do not write your PIN on your Visa Debit Card or any documents related to your card that may be easily accessed by another person.
  • Do not bend your NMB Bank Visa Debit card, as well as do not expose it to extreme heat or electricity. Because NMB Bank Visa Debit card is magnetically encoded, exposure to aforementioned things will render the card unusable on any electronic terminals.
  • Do not carry out transaction in the presence of a second person.
  • If you lose your card, inform the Bank immediately (Toll Free Nos: 16600125252) so that unauthorized transaction can be blocked.
  • Check your account statement on regular basis. In case of any discrepancy, please communicate such transaction to the Bank in writing. All such communication shall be submitted within 30 days of transaction date.

Green PIN FAQs :

1. What is Green PIN?

Green PIN is a replacement of paper PIN for Debit Card customers based on OTP (One Time Password).

2. Who is eligible for Green PIN?

All customers who have subscribed NMB Debit card are eligible to use Green PIN. Branches shall request for Green PIN on behalf of the customer. Green PIN can be activated only through NMB ATM Terminals.

3. Which branches are eligible to process Green PIN for debit card customers?

Branches that have NMB ATM terminals in close proximity of the branch can process Green PIN for customers. If there is no ATM terminal near the branch, branch staffs shall process Paper PIN for customers.

4. What is the most important information required for Green PIN issuance?

The customer must provide his/her latest registered mobile number in the application form.

5. How to activate Green PIN?

  • Insert your Debit card in any NMB ATM Terminal.
  • Press the button Green PIN request at the right bottom corner of the ATM screen. OTP will be delivered to registered mobile number within one minute.
  • Enter the OTP on ATM screen which has been received in the registered mobile number.  The validity of the OTP is 3 minutes. Customer have to request for new OTP if the OTP expires in the meantime.
  •  Select your preferred language, available languages are “Nepali” or “English”.
  •  Enter your New PIN number.
  •  Re-enter the new PIN number for confirmation.
  • A message stating ‘Your Green PIN has been activated successfully” will be   shown on your ATM screen.
  •  Please collect your card from ATM.
  •  Insert the Card again if you want to perform any transaction using the new PIN.

 6 . What should be done if the OTP is not received?

If the OTP is not received within one minute, customer should contact nearest   branch or call +977 9851176101 / 01-4217117 EXT: 541 for support.
